INSPIRATION Det Kongelige Teater, Skuespilhuset, loungeområde 3. sal / The Royal Playhouse, lounge area, 3rd floor “Den bedste plads og udsigt er noget, man deles om.” Sådan siger Lundgaard & Tranberg, arkitekterne bag Skuespilhuset, som er noget af den fineste nyere arkitektur i København. Loungeserien Crown er skabt til husets store lyse rum på 3. sal, hvor personale og skuespillere mødes med udsigt over havneløbet og Inderhavnsbroen. Møblernes geometri er inspireret af en kongekrone. De kalligrafiske kurver og blødt formet polster står i kontrast til det lyse glasparti og giver modspil til Skuespilhusets lige linjer og markante konstruktion. / ‘The best spot and view should be something we share,’ according to Lundgaard & Tranberg, the architects behind the Royal Playhouse, which is one of the finest examples of recent architecture in Copenhagen. The lounge series Crown was designed for the large, bright space on the third floor of the building, where staff and actors meet, and which has views of Copenhagen Harbour and the Inner Harbour Bridge. The geometry of the furniture was inspired by a royal crown. The calligraphic curves and softly shaped upholstery stand in contrast to the bright glazed section, offering a counterpoint to the straight lines and dramatic structure of The Royal Playhouse.
